Outside of work Michelle is a keen runner, musical theatre enthusiast, wife and Mum of two to Daisy and Harry.

Michelle Eagleton has been a broadcast journalist for over 20 years, working in TV and radio. Her career has seen her interview a number of high-profile celebrities including Sir David Attenborough, Cher, Gary Barlow, Dame Joan Collins and Cate Blanchett. Michelle has reported live from numerous red carpets and covered an array of awards ceremonies from the BAFTAS to the British Soap Awards.
Michelle started out as an actress, with roles in Heartbeat, Coronation Street and Children’s Ward. Despite leaving her drama days behind she kept her passion for showbiz and theatre, moving into entertainment journalism and theatre reviews. As a broadcast journalist Michelle has worked for both national and local media, including BBC Radio Manchester, Key 103, GMTV, BBC Breakfast, and most recently BBC One’s Morning Live.
Michelle has extensive presenting experience including hundreds of hours of LIVE broadcasts under her belt. She currently hosts a weekly online theatre magazine show Spotlight on Stage interviewing stars of stage and screen, in her role as Arts & Culture Correspondent for I Love Manchester. Michelle also fronts the lifestyle podcast Style Arcades for Victoria Leeds.
A regular live event host, Michelle will be found comparing ladies lunches, fashion shows and taking to the stage to present at awards and charity balls. Michelle is the official red carpet and backstage reporter for the prestigious Royal Television Society Awards in the North West and loves interviewing the winners of the awards and some of the biggest actors, directors and producers within the TV industry. Over the past few years she has hosted the main stages at Southport Flower Show, Bolton Food and Drink Festival and Tatton Park Festival.
In 2017 Michelle launched her passion project, Bad Mums’ Club – a place where Mums can get together and not feel pressured to be ‘Wonder Woman’. The online community site regularly holds events where Mums in their 20’s to Grans in their 80’s all come together for a night off from being a Mum. At present Michelle has over 1000 members and hopes to open Bad Mums’ Clubs across the UK in the future.
